Conductivity of composite electrolytes in the PEO:LiBF{sub}4-TiO{sub}2 system has been investigated. The conductivity strongly depends upon the annealing conditions. Approximately four orders of magnitude increase in conductivity resulting fromannealing is accomplished around ambient temperature. Analyses of the data suggest that a new conduction mechanism through interracial regions evolves due to the annealing.
