Steady progress has been made in vehicle performance evaluation techniques, enabling development of vehicles of higher performance and areater appeal while reducing unit development cost and lead time Efficient quantitative evaluation andmechanism analysis using high-performance bench testers (simulator) and CAE (computer simulation etc.) are now in frequencies, replacing the conventional durability road testing and subjective performance analysis based on driver's sensory evaluation(fig. 1).
