Luminance Degradation Characteristics of LCD Device

摘要

Recently we have studied extensively the luminance degradation characteristics of LCD devices. The luminance reduction of LCD device is mainly due to the deterioration of the CCFL and the lamp reflector. For the CCFL, in addition to the luminance degradation of the CCFL itself, the transmittance degradation of the CCFL tube also contributes to the luminance decrease of LCD devices. According to the analysis results, the guaranteed lifetime of LCD monitor, over 20K hours, is overestimated under continuous operating condition.
