Preparation of Twin-Free YBa_2Cu_3O_x Crystal Without Twin formation

摘要

A preparation process of a twin-free orthorhombic YBa_2Cu_3O_x crystal is described in this paper. A tetragonal single crystal grown by the crystal pulling method was annealed at 600 deg C in the mixture of argon and oxygen gas under a uni-axial compression to obtain a twin-free orthorhombic YBa_2Cu_3O_x crystal.
