Latest developments for control of high quality processed steel strips

摘要

High quality processed steel strips is in very much a need for today's manufacturers of various goods. Especially in the top quality sections steel strips for the automotive, building and consumer good industries only those steel producers will be successful who are applying state-of-the-art process technologies as well as the latest developments for inspection and control of high quality processed steel strips. For this reason VOEST -ALPINE Industrieanlagenbau GmbH (VAI) is developing new solutions in order not only to meet today's demands but also tomorrow's requirements. This paper refers to two examples in the wide field of modern control techniques.
