The new airborne remote sensing instrument FUBISS measures light intensities from the ultraviolet (200nm) to the near infrared (1,7 um) region of the electromagnetic spectrum with a spectral resolution of up to 2,4 nm in the visible and 10 nm in the near infrared range. A number of parameters have a large influence on the measured spectral data of a discrete spectral light curve and must be corrected. We will present a correction and calibration procedure after a short description of the instrument itself. This is followed by a description of the laboratory measurements and the calculation of the offset and calibration coefficients, finally yielding absolute calibrated spectra with an estimated relative error below 1% for a well-known calibration source.
