The global CO_2 recycling system is a concept of energy transportation from renewable energy producing places to energy consuming places by using methanol as an energy carrier. The possible introduction sceanarios of the systems are simulated by global energy model Dynamic New Earth 21 (DNE21). The global CO_2 recycling system has a few potenitals to contribute energy supply in future, if CO_2 emission was regulated (550 ppm in 2100) and CO_2 sequestration technologies were inhibited. The plant cost reduction is an important factor to increase methanol supply by the global CO_2 recycle system.
