In-situ observations of CO_2-hydrate formation process were carried out in a liquid CO_2 and NaCl solution system. Propagation rates of CO_2 hydrate films at the interface of the liquids, v_f, were measured for various conditions. The comparison of v_f with the experimental data of those in liquid CO_2-pure water system made it possible to predict the inhibition effect of NaCl on the hydrate formation. It concluded that NaCl does not play an important role on the inhibition in the process of the hydrate film propagation at the interface between these liquids if the bulk concentration of NaCl is smaller than 7 wt
