Inelastic seismic behaviors of 'stiffness and strength asymmetric' frame structures are investigated. The effectiveness and importance of 'high-ductility' design for asymmetric structures are emphasized to reduce dispersion of structural response caused by the eccentricity. Comparative studies by using various kinds of asymmetric frame models which make different values of 'maximum ductility responses' are executed through numerical simulations. Single story of 3-DOF frame models are adopted for those examinations, and analytical procedures are operated by extraction of each hysteretic model according to each value of the maximum ductility response which is targeted on frame model. Two typical cases of the maximum ductility responses are investigated. As a results, by introducing high-ductility efficiency to asymmetric frame model adequately, it assured that high performance of energy absorptions are operated and that dispersions of structural responses, which are resulted from the eccentricity or the natural periods of the frame model, are reduced into very small extent.
