摘要

A novel photocrosslinkable methacrylated hyaluronic acid has been synthesized for use as a corneal perforation sealant. The adhesion strength of this hydrogel to an epithelial surface was quantitated in vitro. In vivo application of thisbiopolymer sealed 95% of experimental corneal perforations allowing for complete stromal healing and the re-establishment of the cornea.
