High level vibrations are generated by the flight regime at Stations 1,2 of the F15 aircraft, even under straight flight conditions. It is expected that vibration of increasing severity will develop under maneuver flight conditions, with the highest level under buffet conditions. Maneuver flight tests were performed and vibration measured on a pylon and a launcher, at Stations 1 and 2. The non-stationary vibration time histories were analyzed using parametric modeling. This resulted in high resolution, low standard deviation power spectral density curves. Three different simulation methods of the maneuver time histories were investigated and compared, while revealing the relative merits of the methods.
