Bayesian methods are applied to the computation of contour plans, estimation of grades of panels of ore and average mine grades. Algebraic solutions, computational procedures and examples are given for correlated lognormal variates. Methods for smoothing data which treat nugget effects as random noise are applied. Lognormal approximations to the Poisson distribution are considered. Application notes and examples are given.
