PROPOSAL FOR A HIGH-SCAN RATE LEAK TEST METHOD FOR AN INSTALLED FILTER SYSTEM

Here we propose a high scan rate leak test method which was developed based on the test procedure described in the IES standard. This method has been proposed to the new international standard, ISO/TC 209. The scanning rate of the probe, Sr [cm/s] is subject to the number of Np, which is the expected number of particle counts which characterize the designated leak. This proposal made it clear that the most optimum scanning will be achieved by confirming the observed counts, C=0, with the scan rate of Sr decided by the assumption of Np=4 or 3.
