Histological study of calcium phosphate ceramics implanted in human long bones

摘要

Calcium phosphate ceramics implanted in bones are integrated following a sequence of biological events which has already been described. We had the opportunity to analyze histologically some HA-ceramic samples that had been implanted in humans for various periods of time. Five biopsies were obtained from calcium phosphate ceramics implanted in different sites. All the samples were implanted for periods ranging from 4 to 9 months.
