Calcium and Inorganic Phosphate Contents of Implanted Resorbable Porous Calcium Aluminate Ceramics.

摘要

Interest in ceramics as bone substitutes has increased significantly within the last few years. Both nonporous and porous ceramics have been implanted in animals. Resorbable porous ceramics seem to be more suitable since they encourage replacement of the implant with endogenous bone. Experiments were designed to confirm that resorption was occurring in ceramics implanted on bone surface. (Author)
