摘要

Novel non-porous, microphase-separated block copolymers composed of fluorinated hydrophobic segments and hydrocarbon-based hydrophilic semgents were synthesized for water purification applications. The fluorinated hydrophobic segments provide low surface energy, minimally adhesive sites to reduce membrane fouling, and the hydrophilic segments self-assemble to form hydrophilic channels for high rates of water permeation through th e membrane. In this work, fundamental transport properties of pure sater and salt in a systematic series of this family of polymers were determined.
