The application of Comp[utational Fludi Dynamics (CFD) as a design and development tool for industrial type flows is being increasingly used as computational resources become more powerful and affordable. The design of power utility bilers with tube bank heat exchangers has been historically carried out using empirical and experimental methods. Design Software for Power Utility Boilers (DS4PUB), is a commercial CFD code that has been developed at CANCES for the prediction of global and detailed two-phase turbulent fluid flow and heat transfer over boilers and tube banks configurations. In this paper, the s pecial capabilities of DS4PUB to simulate the global flow and heat transfer over complete boiler geometries using a momentum and energy sources formulation will be presented.
