A Method for Combining Interval Structures

摘要

This paper provides a method for combining interval structures. This method consists of three steps: it first uses the product space to represent the new evidence space, then composes the cylindrical extensions of the interval structures on subspaces respectively, and finally combines the cylindrical extensions on the same product space. On the other hand, in order to interpret the method for combining interval structures, the disjunctive combination of random sets is compared with the method for combining interval structures, and it is proved that the method for combining interval structures is equal to the disjunctive combination of random sets under a closed world assumption.
