A Tool for Automatic Logic Parameter Extraction

摘要

The rapid development of technology and design technique calls for the quick changing from one technology layout and logic parameter library to another ones, and the work of establishing logic parameter library is always tedious and error-prone. To shorten the development cycle of establishing logic parameter library and to diminish the errors caused by manual extraction, we developed a tool called LPE (Logic Parameter Extraction) to extract the logic parameters of cells in a layout library automatically. The tool can extract timings of delay, setup, hold and minimum signal width according to user specifications and extract the parameter to establish a logic parameter library automatically. Besides the function of building logic parameter library, our tool can analysis the result files and transfers these logic parameters to SYNOPSYS and CADENCE format.
