摘要

A derivative of benzimidazole containing dioctyldithio-carbamate group was synthesized and characterized. Its tribological performances were evaluated by four ball and SRV friction and wear testers. The results showed that the novel compound (BMZ-C{sub}8) possesses excellent property of friction reduction and anti-wear performance at high loads compared with ZDDP. Combining BMZ-C{sub}8 with BSF (a kind of borate ester) produced a synergistic effect and thus improved the antiwear property of BMZ-C{sub}8 at low load evidently.
