摘要

This paper describes a new computer-aided system for evaluating fracture mechanics parameters for various 3D cracks using fully plastic solution formulas for the J-integral and numerous simplified formulas for the stress intensity factors found mainly in the Stress Intensity Factors Handbook published by the Society of Materials Science, Japan. In general, this kind of integrated system has to be flexible in extending its functions, and to be easy for ordinary engineers to use. When dealing with numerous formulas within a single system, it is also important to keep the system size compact by sharing common functions and data among various crack and structure geometries, and to easily access a specific formula without any troublesome operations. To meet such requests, the present system is built on a popular engineering workstation using an object-oriented programming approach.
