In order to extract some information through the sound scattered from individual fish and to better understand the response of fish to underwater ultrasound, simple geometries modeling individual fish are considered. Incident plane wave is assumed while an individual fish is modeled either as a liquid cylinder, a liquid cylinder embodying another cylindrical air cavity in an attempt to model the swim bladder. Other spherical liquid and ellipsoidal models can be approached in a similar manner. Analytical solutions for the total pressure around and inside the objects are given for different frequencies and several issues are discussed pertaining to the pressure distribution inside the fish body.
