A new manufacturing system theory: introductions to unified manufacturing theory

Manufacturing theory is a hot point at present on the studies of manufacturing science and technology, especially the studies of various kinds of production patterns. But all the researches only involve one or several aspects of manufacturing systems, and are lack of systematic and completed theory and methods. So these researches can not grab the essence of manufacturing systems. In this paper, a new manufacturing system theory is proposed by means of deep and comprehensive studying to manufacturing systems. The paper demonstrates the basic concepts of the unified manufacturing theory such as the basic definition, three fundamental elements. essential equations, research contents, etc. and the primary architecture of the unified manufacturing theory. Sonic important concepts are proposed such as special manufacturing system and general manufacturing system, static analysis theory and dynamic analysis theory, general evolution mode and life cycle theory of manufacturing systems.
