摘要

SOD damage caused by active oxygen has been greatly noticed. Reports indicated that after treatment with hydrogen peroxide, SOD was partially degenerated into smaller peptides and tyrosine dimer was introduced into enzyme molecule and folder decreased but irregular curling increased, which led to the damage of enzyme structure. Hydrogen peroxide that is a product of many metabolisms is very stable inside cell and able to penetrate cell membrane and damage biomolecule. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) was used to study thermodynamics of SOD after treatment with H_2O_2, which will reveal the effect on biological macromolecules by active oxygen and provide thermodynamics data for investigating the relation between function and structure of SOD.
