Determining damage to human skin caused by ultra-violet light, useful for assessing protective agents, by assaying connexins in exposed and control samples

Determining damage to human cells of the skin and tissues, caused by ultra-violet (UV) radiation, by quantifying immunoreactive connexins (I), is new. An independent claim is also included for determining the anti-UV protective effect of a substance on the specified cells by quantifying (I) before and after irradiation.
