The influence of H_2O_2 in ozonation treatment: the experience of the water supply service of florence

摘要

This paper reports on the use of ozone in the Water soupply Service of Florence (Italy). The adition of hydrogen peroxide at the end of ozonation treatment has proved particularly efficient for controlling bromates and organic brominated by-products. Significant differences regarding the formation of oxygenated organic compounds were not observed.
