The Monterey Bay Aquarium has a 50,000 gal. sea otter display with artifical rockwork representating a granitic sub-tidal environment of the central california coast.The original intent of the sea otter exibit at hte MBA was to display the otters in a habitat much like that found in the wild,one that had a lush algal turf,populated with fish and invertesbrates.
