摘要

This paper presents the mathematical formulation for the seismic response of reinforced concrete gravity dams. Damage Mechanics is proposed to model the energy dissipation from cyclic ground motion and an efficient modified. Newmark method is used to integrate the equations of motion. The importance of the critical length of the finite element mesh is explained.
