Risk and uncertainty are present during all phases of an artificial intelligence project. Therefore, it is necessary to combine methods for dealing with uncertainty with conventional cost-benefit analyses and cost reduction techniques. The author elaborates on the risk factors of each phase and explores some ways of maximizing return on investment under uncertainty.
