Hybrid generation systems combine two or more sources of renewable energy into one or more conventional energy sources. To achieve high performance operation of hybrid generation systems with stochastic renewable sources and volatility loads is a great challenge to their energy management. This study proposes an energy management strategy based on state machine for a hybrid generation system comprised of a photovoltaic (PV) arrav, a polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) and a lead-acid battery module, the configuration parameters are summarized in Table I.
