A new compact cold rolling mill for high flatness

摘要

A new compact three-stand cold rolling mill is presented. The stands are mounted close together on a common platform. The rolling is performed under large backward and forward tensions applied to the main central four-high stand. The backward tension is developed through the reduction in the first stand. The third stand is used only to give a forward tension. This rolling technique has many advantages compared to conventional technique.
