A Multidisciplinary Design Optimization aprroach considering closed loop flight control laws applied for a conceptual design of large cabin business jet. Aircraft design disciplines taken into account into MDO enviroment are: Aerodynamics, Weight and Balance, Performance, Flight Mechanics and Cost Analysis. The main goal is to find an aircraft design that can attend all the performance and handling qualities specifications and gives an investment internal rate of return of more than 16%. The optimization algorithm used at this work is the Multi-Objective Genetic Algorithm of second generation (MOGA-II algorithm). Two types of analysis were done: mono-objective, maximizing internal rate of return, and multi-objective, maximizing internal rate of return and minimizing Dubai -London City mission block time.
