LNG - Bridging the gap towards the 2050 future fuels

Major challenges from GHG emission reduction and EEDI phases lie ahead. The onlycommercially available and widely proven ‘green’ fuel viable for deep-sea shipping is LNG.However, that will not be enough to meet 2050 GHG reduction targets. Beyond 2030, nonfossilfuels will be needed. Drop-in biogas and synthetic methane are the most obvious waysforward. However, available propulsion technology provided by WinGD’s X-DF engines offersa flexible, proven and optimum foundation mastering the fuel challenges to come.;
