摘要

The paper focuses on the electromagnetic analysis of a Novel Dual Stator Delta-Shaped Magnet Five-Phase Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (NDSDSMFP-PMSM) for electric vehicle application. For efficient operation of the electric vehicle, it needs a motor that has advantages such as high torque density, robustness, and high failure tolerance. Because of the double stator, robust rotor, and two sets of 5-phases windings, the proposed motor is highly appropriate for the above-mentioned application. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is chosen for the designing and analysis of the motor. The FEA considers magnetostatics and transient mode of analysis. Using both of these analysis, various motor electromagnetic-characteristics are carried out. Based on the above characteristics the proposed motor is found to be more appropriate for the use in electric vehicle.
