We first elaborate on the definition of an elementary unit ofknowledge, called the knowledge unit. Then we define three knowledgeoperators-knowledge extraction, knowledge generation and knowledgeselection-aimed at being the elementary ways of reasoning. These arecompared to the traditional deduction, induction and abduction reasoningoperators, resulting in the proposal that our knowledge operators couldbe viewed as generalized interpretations of the standard deduction, induction and abduction reasoning procedures. We finalize by proposingthem as the building blocks for universal intelligent systems
