A new approach to the measurement of surface roughness using thepulse-jet capacitance method

摘要

In-process monitoring of surface roughness has assumedconsiderable significance in present day manufacturing due to reducedtolerances and better understanding of the functional behaviour ofsurfaces. The paper deals with the pulse jet capacitance system fornoncontact sensing of the surface finish. It concentrates on theprototype development and testing for this state of the art techniqueuseful for research or industrial applications
