The paper presents Matlab Simulink model of Vertical Axis Wind Turbine demonstrating the functional components and simulation modes. The Wind Turbine is nearly a single perfect solution for standalone consumer autonomous uninterrupted power supply. These renewable energy converters reduce greatly the industrial impact on the environment, at the same time decreasing the fuel costs for gas/diesel depending sites, when being implemented in parallel energy generation. Simulation model development is finalized by the detail analysis of wind power plant flexibility in interaction between different power system components. The model has shown the adequate energy conversion efficiency along with the high accuracy of the built components and stable repitability of simulation modes.
