In most Asian countries like India where public transport is the lifeline of masses, development of an efficient and extendable energy management system (EMS) is the need of the hour. Electric vehicle is developed to provide an alternative source of transport system. This paper focuses on e-rickshaw as source of road transport. This e-rickshaw has controller circuit which can be re-design and modified to emphasize on aspects such as reliability, flexibility and cost efficiency. The controller system will be GPS enabled which would help in live tracking of e-rickshaw and the current status of various components by which e-rickshaw has been made. Authors suggested better approach to drive BLDC motor by implementing effective motor driver circuit with reference to the status of hall sensors of BLDC Motor in running and standalone conditions. In this paper, author approaches to minimize the power dissipation in controller circuit by the use 6 IGBTs in H-bridge configuration.
