摘要

In this contribution, a vectorial time domain beam propagation approach based on Faber polynomial expansions is investigated. The method allows a fully vectorial explicit formulation of the algorithm and the application of large time steps. The utilized near band approximation shows some interesting properties with respect to the computational complexity of the time propagation algorithm. The approach is especially interesting for applications with electromagnetic fields that are band limited around a carrier wave of high frequency.
