摘要

Carbon emissions is an important sustainability issue for the cement industry as global cement manufacture accounts for about five percent of all man-made CO emissions: about 60% of these emissions come from the raw materials used in the manufacturing process of cement, the basic chemical de-carbonation of limestone into lime releasing CO whereas about 40% of these emissions come from the energy required to ensure the above chemical reaction and to heat the materials to a temperature of about 1450°C.
