Interior Decoration System Design Based on 3D Scene Modeling

Computer vision has been significantly developed in recent years, and it provides the foundation of 3D scene modeling in interior decoration design. In this paper, we discuss how to design an interior decoration system by the 3D scene modeling technique. Framework of our proposed interior decoration system is made up of four parts: 1) 2D drawing, 2) 3D scene modeling, 3) 3D scene storage, and 4) data management. Afterwards, we utilize implicit radial basis functions to promote surface representation of 3D scene, and exploit the 3D scene modeling technique from different images aims to recover missing information from sparse data. Finally, to demonstrate the effectiveness of this work, we use the Java3D technology to construct an interactive 3D scene interior decoration system. Experimental results prove that the proposed system is able to generate high quality interior decoration design.
