Literature Survey and Overview of the University of Wisconsin Molten Salt Flow Loop

摘要

A molten salt thermal convection flow loop is under design at the University of Wisconsin - Madison to measure the corrosion of potential reactor materials for the Fluoride-Salt-Cooled High-Temperature Reactor. The flow loop seeks to build upon many years of research performed by Oak Ridge National Laboratory in the mid to late 1900 's. This paper presents an overview of molten salt history and many of the pertinent results to help guide design of the molten salt flow loop.
