Model prediction control (MPC) is adopted in this work to solve the Gust Load Alleviation (GLA) system performance, which is seriously influenced by some uncertain factors. Based on receding optimization strategy, it can overcome the negative influence of modeling errors and uncertain environmental disturbance, which helps achieve strong robustness. Especially, one kind of large aircraft is chosen and the state-space form of aircraft-gust model is proposed. As for the synthesized system model, model prediction control technology is used to design a control law on gust load alleviation. Simulation and comparison results show that the designed controller can mitigate the impact of gust on the aircraft effectively and achieve strong robustness.
