Advanced prediction methods in structural fire safety engineering

摘要

The paper describes advanced prediction methods used in modern branch of structural fire engineering. Application of methods based on mathematical modeling is shown in three studies of prediction of fire dynamics in railway tunnel, fire spread in experimental building and structural fire behaviour of timber-FRC floor. Introduced applications based on performance fire design show promising approach which lead to optimized solutions of fire safety, reduced costs, social and environmental impact in the design phase of structural engineering.
