Study of fabrication conditions of ATP biosensor based on screen-printed electrode

Adenosine triphosphate (ATP) biosensor has been widely used in biochemistry, molecule biology and food industry in recent years. Meanwhile, screen-printing technology has been applied in electrochemical researches owing to their advanced properties. A dual enzyme ATP biosensor based on co-immobilization of glucose oxidase and hexokinase on screen-printed electrode was developed in this work. The fabrication conditions of platinization and enzyme immobilization, double-layered enzyme electrode structure and magnesium ion concentration during detection were studied. After the optimization, the sensitivity of the ATP biosensor was enhanced up to 20.1 μA mM-1 cm-2. The results will contribute to the fabrication of high sensitivity ATP biosensor.
