摘要

With a rapid development of oil and gas resources explotation in deepsea and u|tra-deepsea, there will be an increasing demand for offshore equipment in deepwater platforms and subsea pipeline laying. Thus, the installations of underwater structures -such as risers and pipelines- are essential for marine operations. Tensioner is the key equipment in both risers installation and pipelines laying. As a standard industrial installation process, tensioners in the vessel are used to grip the risers or pipelines, and lay them down at predetermined location with homogeneous velocity. It is easy to unederstand the contact region between elastic rubber bulks on tensioner and rigid pipe wall. And the contact is the essential working area to provide enough tensioning force for the offshore pipeline installation or maintenance.
