摘要

We report on a fast tunable laser in the Hybrid III-V/SOI platform based on the Vernier effect of two rings resonators (RRs). Tunability of 45 nm was achieved thanks to carrier injection in the PIN junctions of the rings resonators. We demonstrated a switching time of 1.5 ns between two neighbor wavelengths, making this device a promising solution for wavelength packet switched networks.
