Recent years, it is expected that the penetration of renewable energy such as photovoltaic (PV) or wind-power generation systems enables to prevent global warming and save fossil fuel. However, the power generation output depends on the surrounding environment and, the balancing of power demand and supply is a key problem for the introduction of a large amount of renewable energy. In this paper, we propose a design method of preview load frequency control (LFC) considering the bandwidth of generator dynamics. Based on the proposed method, the features of the controlled system is discussed in terms of the suppression of frequency variation and preservation of the power consumption.
