Study of Relationship Between Occupational Orientation and Occupational Interest

Purpose To investigate the relationship of occupational orientation and occupational interest of university graduates. Methods A sample survey was done on occupational orientation and occupational interest of 501 University graduates in one university of Hunan. The results was analyzed by X2 test and one-dimension variance analysis etc. Results (1) Occupational orientation of this university showed very significant differences in general (P < 0.01); (2) The scores of occupational interests of university graduates on different occupational orientation showed significant difference (P < 0.01), except that of Social (P > 0.05); (3) There was very significant differences in the match between occupational orientation and occupational interest (P < 0.01). Conclusions There is an obvious difference in the university graduates' occupational orientation. The match between occupational orientation and occupational interest of University graduates is non-ideal.
