The assessment methods of Nasal Resonance Disorder has mainly contained the subjective and objective ones at present. In this paper, the acoustic parameters for objective assessment were extracted. This paper focused the computing methods with the technique of the processing of the voice signal, by which the sounds with oral-nasal separate recorded were analyzed. It contained pre-processing of voice signals, detecting of the voiced and unvoiced, Linear Prediction (LP) Analysis and computing of formants and other parameters separately. Finally, the nasal formants were applied in an experiment between normal children and ones with nasal resonance disorder. The results show that there is significant difference of the first nasal formant between normal children and ones with hyponasality or hypernasality. That is, the acoustic parameters are effective for objective assessment of Nasal Resonance Disorder.
